Receipt Pro ("we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how the Receipt Pro browser extension and website handle information.

1. No Account Required

Receipt Pro does not require you to create an account or provide personal information to use the core features.

2. Local-Only Data Processing

All purchase data is processed entirely locally within your browser. Receipt Pro:

• Does NOT upload your purchase history to our servers
• Does NOT collect your Costco account credentials
• Does NOT store your receipts externally
• Does NOT sell or share your personal data
• Does NOT use analytics or tracking scripts in the extension

Your data remains under your control at all times.

3. What Data We Access

Receipt Pro only analyzes purchase data that is already displayed in your account page while you are logged in. The extension does not access any data beyond what you can see yourself when browsing your account. No hidden APIs are accessed and no data is collected beyond what is shown to you. You control when the extension runs — it only activates when you click "Start."

4. How Data Is Processed

• Receipt data is read from the retailer's website while you are logged in
• Data is stored in your browser's local storage (chrome.storage.local)
• Analysis, statistics, and exports are generated on your device
• Share card images are rendered locally using the HTML Canvas API

5. Information We May Receive

We may receive limited information in the following cases:

a) Support Requests — If you contact support, we may receive your email address and information you voluntarily provide.

b) Payment Processing — Payments for Receipt Pro MAX are handled by Stripe, a third-party payment processor. We do not store your credit card details. Stripe's privacy policy governs payment data handling.

c) License Verification — When activating a MAX license key, your device fingerprint (a non-identifying hash) is sent to our server for device binding. No purchase data is transmitted.

6. Browser Permissions

This extension requests the following permissions:

• storage — To save analyzed purchase data locally
• activeTab — To interact with the current tab when you initiate a scan
• tabs — To open the results page in a new tab
• Host permission (costco.com) — To read receipt data from the Costco Orders & Purchases page

7. Cookies

Our website may use essential cookies for functionality. The extension does not set any cookies. No tracking of Costco activity occurs.

8. Data Deletion

You can delete all stored data at any time by:

• Using the "Clear Data" button in the extension popup
• Uninstalling the extension (all local data is automatically removed)
• Clearing your browser's extension storage

9. Data Security

Because purchase data is processed locally and never transmitted, the risk of external data exposure is minimized.

10. Children's Privacy

Receipt Pro is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

11. Third-Party Services

The extension does not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or data processing services. The website may use privacy-friendly analytics to understand general usage patterns.
